Run Baby, Run

After toying around with many draft stories – some thrown away, others saved for another time – the question still remained the same: what should the first entry be about?

The Numero Uno

I don’t know nor do I care much if this article will be a crowd pleaser or not. The idea behind OFF. is for all things when you and I aren’t running. So it’s very ironic – to say the least – that this post is about the bluntly obvious: drop everything you’re doing and go for a run.

drop everything you’re doing and go for a run.

Really, stop reading this and go for a run.

There’s nothing I can say or write here that will give you a better understanding of what running is or feels like. So I do mean it. No resentments, no worries, zero, null, niente, nada. In fact, it would be quite awesome to know that you haven’t read this article any further.

For those unfazed by my blatant instructions, or those with some kind of wishful thinking like: “— let me read a bit more, it might get better” – your hopes can cease to exist. What are you still doing here?

Go for a run!

Go, because it’s as simple as putting one foot after the other. If you can walk, you can run. And no, there’s no need for anything else. ANYTHING!

No hydration packs,
No tracking devices,
No special shoes,
and to be completely honest, not even shoes are necessary.
No phones,
No headphones,
No treadmills…

Running is Primal

It’s all within you. Run your way, run your distance, under sunshine or rain. Don’t overthink, nor overdo. Just run for your own sake. The hardest part – if that’s hard at all – is getting moving. Once you get your run in the bag, there are no regrets to be found. Never, ever.

Keep it simple, keep it primal, and go get it tiger!

As I mentioned earlier, this is the place to find out about all things related to running while not running. However, let’s not kid ourselves here, the main purpose is to get out and run. There’s not enough writing, listening, or watching that will match your feelings and understanding after each run.

They’re yours, and yours to keep. You’ve earned them! You are OFF.
